Smart Cut Limited has been trading since 1994 and originated from cutting grass at the Vale Golf Course. From winning our first contract working with Wychavon District Council, a contract that we continue to hold every year as well as working closely with local schools, sports clubs, private housing estates, trading estates and private customers, word soon spread, and we now have over 150 clients on our database.

Smart Cut Limited covers every aspect of your ground’s maintenance and landscaping requirements from grass cutting and hedge trimming to site clearance, hard landscaping, and line marking, serving both domestic and commercial customers.

FLEET & MACHINERY

Smart Cut believes that to be a successful grounds maintenance company it is essential to have a fleet of up to date and well-maintained equipment and vehicles. Our Izuzu grafter vans are replaced on a two-year cycle and our mowers and small equipment are replaced on a regular rotational basis

TOM
Owner / Managing Director

With both a practical and academic background in agriculture Tom went on to build a 27 hole international Golf Course in Worcestershire. Whilst there he setup Smart Cut Ltd a Grounds Maintenance business working on large local authority and housing association contracts throughout the West Midlands. Toms ethos has always been to build strong relationships with clients through good communication and quality service, proven by still retaining the local authority contract for nearly 30 years.

Tom purchased TFN Landscapes in 2008 with the intention to grow the business, reputation and oversee the site relocation in 2017. Whilst he is responsible for the long term strategy for the Group of Companies his day to day role encompasses fleet management, financial control, Health & Safety and quality control. Tom holds all necessary professional certifications and also held the position of Regional Chair of BALI for 5 years.

DAWN
Financial Controller

Dawn has worked alongside Tom since he built the Golf Club in 1989. Dawn is responsible for Payroll, purchase ledger, sales ledger, achieving & maintaining all quality control standards throughout the Group. She also overseas all office administration for both the Worcester & Gloucester Sites.

TOM
General Manager

Tom joined the company as laborer, quickly working his way through the ranks to senior positions. He has undertaken multiple training courses both in house and external, to become a highly efficient landscape operative and manager. Tom has a strong work ethic and a desire to push the company forward. He is passionate about customer care and offering great value and service.

ALASTAIR
Fitter

Alastair previously worked in the motor industry, quarries and commercial plant and machinery maintenance, giving him a wide breadth of knowledge in all types of vehicles and machinery. Responsible for a fleet of over 100 vehicles, from small mowers to 7.5t lorries, as well as small tools including strimmers, hedge cutters, blowers, and more. Invaluable for the day to day running of machinery, and ensuring Health and Safety compliance.

MARK
Senior Foreman

Mark has been with the company since 1998, he is a senior foreman managing commercial and domestic mowing contracts around the Evesham area. Mark has many years experience working on local authority contracts. During his time with the company he has undertaken numerous training courses, and is now a highly competent operator.

RAYMOND
Senior Foreman

Ray has been with the company for many years and is a senior foreman managing contracts around the Droitwich area. Ray is a highly competent member of the team, and has the skills to undertake maintenance tasks including fabrication, machine repair and servicing.

GEORGE
Trainee Line Marking Specialist

George has been with us for a relatively short period of time, in which time has gained tremendous knowledge of the industry, following the company training program to become competent in spraying, chainsaw work, strimming, hedge cutting and more. Having purchased a new robot line marker, George is honing his skills to become a specialist in both over marking and gps technology line marking.
